About the Founder
Rinette Korea is the Founder of Artdillo Studios. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor. With over 10 years of experience teaching in fine arts and a professional background in digital strategy , Rinette brings a unique blend of creative and analytical expertise to her work. Before launching Artdillo Studios, she served for four years as the Arts Program Developer at Seven Mile, a student-led nonprofit providing arts, writing, music, and coding programs to youth in Brightmoor, Detroit. Her work there shaped her commitment to accessible, trauma-informed arts education rooted in community, belonging, and empowerment.
Rinette founded Artdillo Studios in 2023 after recognizing the critical need for a welcoming “third space” where Flint residents—particularly women, youth, and young adults—could create, connect, and breathe outside of daily stressors. Under her leadership, Artdillo has grown from a grassroots idea into a vibrant community hub known for its inclusive workshops for all levels of artists, youth programs, and weekly open studio hours. Her vision centers on using the arts as a vehicle for expression, community well-being, and self-empowerment.
